Herbicide Price Update Templates


This update procedure utilizes Microsoft Excel. You must have Excel to take advantage of the update feature. NOTE: This is for the 2005 version of ADVISOR only.

Create Updated Price List:
  1. Select the Herbicide Price template for your version of WeedSOFT® ADVISOR from the list below.
  2. The downloaded file is a compressed file. Double click the file to extract the template. The file will be extracted to "C:\WeedSOFT Downloads" by default. You may change this if you wish.
  3. Open the extracted template (xls) file in Excel.
  4. Edit prices, as necessary, in the Herbicide Price template you downloaded.
  5. When you are finished editing, save the file for ADVISOR as follows:
    1. File... Save As...
    2. Select "CSV (Comma delimited)(*.csv)" from the "Save as type" list. NOTE: Do not change the file name. This is important!!
    3. Click "Save". (Remember where you saved the file.)
    4. Click "YES" when asked "Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?".
  6. The CSV file you created is used by ADVISOR to update the Herbicide Price list. You may send this file to other users to update their price list. See instructions below.

Updating Herbicide Price list in ADVISOR:
  1. Start WeedSOFT® ADVISOR.
  2. Select menu item 'Tools'...'Options'.
  3. Click tab 'Update Herbicide Price List'.
  4. Select the price list to update.
  5. Click the 'Import Prices for the Selected Price List' button.
  6. Locate the 'Price Update File' (csv) for your version of ADVISOR.
  7. Click 'Open'. Your ADVISOR Herbicide Price List will be updated using this file.
  8. Repeat steps 4 - 7 to update the other price lists.
  9. NOTE: The update will fail if the update file does not match the ADVISOR database version you are attempting to update. Be sure to download the correct template version.
